Rating: Can i borrow Jive Bunny?

In a move akin to a business-savvy school bully Vodafone yesterday announced their new MusicStation service .  The concept behind it is simple, or so the press release would have you believe, access to every chord ever played on the planet for the meager sum of £1.99 per week. However nowhere in the War and Peace press release does it mention that, should you stop paying the £1.99 weekly charge, Vodafone will come round with two big flat-nosed blokes, break your legs and steal your music collection.

Protection racket comparisons aside it does seem like the operatossus (now official mobile slang for large dominant operator) has had a good crack at providing a decent service.  All data costs are included in the price, it is supported by 4 major music labels, works on a shed-load of handsets and, probably most importantly, is cross carrier.

The completely unavoidable question has to be what is Jesus Jobs doing now?  Is he quaking in fear at Vodafone’s blatant spoiler of his imminent launch or is he simply out shopping for more enigmatic black roll necks? I put the question to him yesterday, in between mouthfuls of grape being served to him by Abercrombie and Fitch models i could just make out the words ‘kidnap Lewis Hamilton’.
