Rating: SwimHut gets logo on McLarens @ Silverstone
It’s nice to see an obviously successful conclusion to a mobile operator’s marketing campaign. And this one which formed part of Vodafone’s Vodafone VIP promotion for the British Grand Prix @ Silverstone. The race actually takes place tomorrow [July 10th 2011] and will feature VIP winner – the SwimHut.com, whose logo will appear somewhere on the two Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 cars at the British Santander F1 race. We’re not exactly sure where the logos will be placed but look out for them. A Sussex [UK] based online retailer, the company offers designer swimwear for delivery to the UK, Europe and worldwide. All that Vodafone has got to do now is give SwimHut.com a bit of advice on creating its mobile sales strategy.A joyful Tracey Spuyman, md withSwimHut.com, commented, “We were absolutely delighted to discover we had won the competition to get the SwimHut.com logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 cars and [get the chance] market our business to such a huge, worldwide audience.”
“It’s an amazing opportunity for a small business with big ambitions,” Spuyman added. Of course, it also gives GoMo News the chance to run some swimwear shots – one for the boys and one for the girls (we’re not saying which is which).
Petrol-heads who missed winning tickets to the British Grand Prix can still win the chance to visit the McLaren technology centre under the Vodafone VIP promotion here.
Now all that swinHut.com needs is a successful mobile strategy. A good start would be to trawl the pages of GoMo News to discover where other retail companies have sourced their iPhone/Android/ Ovi apps from.
