With increasing demand from brands to establish a mobile presence, but
little clue how to go about it, Wapple has launched a new partner programme.

The plan is to make it easy for digital agencies and web designers to offer
mobile internet site development to their clients. The company says, “Wapple
Canvas it is fast and simple to deliver rich mobile media content along with
e-commerce, mobile advertising and interactive elements such as polls and
user feedback.”

Wapple Partners get free access to the new Wapple Canvas Playbox that
provides the tools to build interactive mobile sites. Partners can pitch and
work on projects for up to ten clients at the same time and no charge is
made until the sites actually go live.

As Wapple partners ourselves, we know the technology is easy to use and
works well. There is a pent-up demand for a simple solution to adding mobile
into the mix, but one suspects there are lots of agencies out there who are
only too happy to charge their clients¹ a hefty premium for mobile ventures.
The new Wapple offering might not be too popular with them.
