What’s in a name? A lot, apparently

Drugs are bad for you?

Rating: perhaps the name put them off?

By Annie Turner

Frankfurt-based Worldwide Mobile Marketing, a mobile ad agency announced that its board of directors has pulled out of the proposed merger with Terra Penta Pharma. The German company has also changed its name to Worldwide Media Technologies, Inc. Perhaps it’s got a thing about names and thought the Pharma had bad connotation?

The name isn’t an improvement (now it sounds like it makes TVs) and you’d have thought that its directors would have done due diligence BEFORE announcing the merger in the first place. Not one of the better episodes in its 12 year history.
