Who dominates mobile search?
I saw an article on this blog http://www.warpspeed.com/wordpress/?p=2537 and the original source seems to be Fierce Mobile Content and also Nielsen.
I have to say - I am frustrated by the lack of understanding in the mobile search space and the continuous and complete disregard for white label mobile search players. The Mobile world is not the online world and the real estate is managed and run also via white labels or operators. Searches for content occur on portal and the number of these searches needs also be included to understand the mobile Internet and the mobile search eco-system.
On top of that with Taptu and other pure mobile branded search engines launching daily - where are they in this equation? I am not disregarding these findings - only highlighting that they represent only one part of the mobile search equation. On portal mobile search is not going anywhere and ringtone search (be it boring or not) remains immensly popular.
