WMC: Blyk founder CEO Pekka Ala-Pietilä at MoMo Peer Awards
OMG! I have never dealt with Pekka Ala-Peitila before, always with Antti Ohrling the other co-founder of Blyk. So, I really anticipated a great keynote at the MoMo Peer Awards.
Boy was I disappointed. I listened in disbelieve to the most boring one sided presentation I have ever heard. There was no passion in his voice and very little conviction. Memories of having lunch with Steve Ballmer came to me and the difference between the two – unbelievable. I hate to be rude and I don’t want to be. I thought Blyk was in trouble and Pekka touting a click through rate of 29% with no substance of how he got there – makes we very very worried.
Blyk might be disruptive but it takes more than an idea and it definitely needs passion too.
