Rating: you better believe it

Mitch Lazar, VP business development Yahoo! gave an interesting presentation today at the mobile 2.0 conference at Lords Cricket Club. But for very different reasons that I initially imagined.

Why?
Because the session was called monetizing search but the core of the presentation was on building a mobile advertising mega lord.

Really. What happened to keyword search? Mitch was going full on in mobile marketing forgetting search and attacking mobile operators as the place to incorporate full advertising platforms. This is more for banners and campaigns than traditional mobile search keywords.

But my prediction: Yahoo! is scouting for mobile coupon companies – its in buy mode. If you have a good proposition knock on Yahoo!’s door.
