Yandex mobile search Russia on HTC devices

Mobile manufacturer HTC has just rolled out a new shipment of smartphones for the Russian market with built in Yandex search. The search will offer a Yandex home screen and search package to cater to the Russian market.

“Pre-uploaded mobile applications make our devices more efficient for end-consumers,” says Scott Cheng, HTC’s regional director for Russia and the CIS. “Most importantly, these applications from Yandex are developed specifically for the Russian market.”

What we think?
Yandex is on the radar and more information on the company and solution shortly. I experienced this search last month - even though I couldn’t actually understand what was being said in Riga, Latvia. The demo I received was clear and concise and the search looked federated - but I need to confirm this.
