I believe in fate as I was doing a search for edgy news to write up today – I saw and article on Yobo.
Yobo is the latest Chinese music recommendation search services. I don’t think its mobile –but it definitely one to watch.

There is an interview with founder Allen Guo on Pacific Epoch (subscription required). Yobo currently has 600,000 registered users and 500,000 songs in its database – it describes itself as new music discovery community.

It sets itself apart by hiring musicians to write, rave, recommend review and also offers a nifty mp3 search engine.
