Yoof don’t like mobile search?
Rating: not so sure
I saw this article http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/071012-135928
Its interesting but I have to say that I am not convinced. Its easy to get confused with mobile because its so different to fixed and the types of search are often hidden behind additional terms such as find or discovery.
Anyway – the article is interesting but it fails to take into account the idle screen which is used in abundance in Europe (in particular with Orange) and also on device on search. On device or content search is on the up and its youth driving the uptake because its youth that have the content that needs to be managed, organised and found. The best examples of this come form music recommendation companies from My Strands to The Filter etc.
Mobile search has many hats.
