Good news for those in the video games industry is that the Casual Connect Asia show is returning to Singapore between May 20th – 22nd this year [ 2014]. The show is taking place in Singapore’s famous  Shangri-La Hotel. The hotel is regarded as one of Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotels and it is located in the heart of Singapore’s busiest entertainment and shopping district, Orchard Road. The organisers, the Casual Games Association, tell us that rooms in the Shangri-La Hotel can be had for $280 a night. It’s your chance to mingle with the top developers; publishers; distributors; and others involved in the video gaming industry in delightful surroundings.

Lectures  at Casual Connect Asia cover an array of topics including: – emerging trends, game development, and the future of the industry -all across multiple platforms from mobile, PC, and console to the web.

The International Design, Entertain, and Amaze (IDEA) showcase is  also making its debut at Casual Connect Asia.

Established developers looking for international partners for publishing, user acquisition, game performance monitoring, and logistical support will be presenting their recent projects at IDEA.

The number of confirmed speakers from top industry companies is just too large to publish but range from Microsoft, Twitter and Google to App Annie, inMobi and Fiksu.

Along with the conference sessions, over 80 indie developers will be presenting their games at the Indie Prize Showcase.
