Zamano to launch new mobile advertising unit

by: Bena Roberts Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Zamano seems to be a new another entrant in mobile advertising space. Coming from a mobile content background. It has been providing messaging and billing services in the UK, Ireland and Australia. Now it has launched and ad buying unit.

AND, it has signed an agency deal with Yahoo! too offer WAP inventory to existing customers.
From the press release
Declan Pettit of zamano said: “The aggregation industry is commoditised and there is very little scope to differentiate, therefore it’s important to add value where at all possible. The new ad unit continues zamano’s strategy to offer an end to end solution for partners that complements its existing offering of a mobile white label solution comprising billing, content management services and powerful reporting tools.”

What we think?
Zamano is entering the market with a solution. From the way the press release is written it seems as though it is sitting on a lot of mobile inventory in English speaking countries that it is making available.

How?
Well it has the content deals in place with a number of content providers. It will then negotiate huge or bulk inventory sales deals from within its new ad network for mobile advertising.

I am going to interview Zamano asap and will report back.
