ZYB will demonstrate its new mobile data back-up and sharing services at 3GSM. ME is the existing service and US will be demonstrated there. Basically, US will allow users to save and create or store public profiles or SMS back-up.

From the press release:
“ZYB’s mobile social networking services are activating mobile data in a new way that has never been seen before,” said Tommy Ahlers, CEO of ZYB.
“It’s all about giving users control of their mobile data - first safeguarding it in case of phone loss or for easy transfer to a new phone - and then giving users the tools to make the data work for them and their friends, family and acquaintances in a collaborative online environment.”

With ZYB’s new feature-set, users will have access to a public profile on zyb.com where they can store and manage the mobile data from their phone, such as contact list, mobile calendar, SMS messages, etc. Users can display the online profile publicly or to other selected users. For privacy, ZYB will show only what users specify for public view.

What we think?

If mobiles are going to be the new data engines then back-up, store, save and profile services such as these will be the new bees knees.

I have just come across a new site called Mobyko (www.mobyko.com). It looks like another back up service, however I tried it and it was cool. There was far more to it than just contact storage. You are able to store and share your mobile texts, videos and pictures. You can also send SMS from your desktop and download art and videos to your mobile…
Check it out, it’s free!
