New updates for Microsoft Outlook on Android and iOS released

Microsoft Outlook users rejoice as its new update release was confirmed and announced last April 30, 2018. Microsoft has announced a bunch of updates to its Outlook apps across all platforms, ranging from desktop, web to mobile.

The Outlook mobile is getting new features and improvements in May and June, but most of the new features are only live for the web and desktop for now, but the Android app is set to be updated too as early as May.

There are variations of the Microsoft Outlook Updates for two of the major mobile platforms, Android and iOS. Some of the features of the Microsoft Outlook Update should already be available in Outlook for Android or iOS.

The Outlook features for Android are Sync draft holders and Office 365 Groups for OneNote and meeting events in Outlook. The Sync draft feature gives users the ability to draft a message in Outlook on one device and finish it on another.

This feature will be available to Outlook for iOS this May 2018. Office 365 Groups for OneNote and meeting events in Outlook gives users the ability to view your group events in Outlook, as well as access the group’s OneNote Notebook. This will be available to Outlook for iOS in June 2018.

For iOS users, the Outlook Calendar and mail have already been added to the system’s updates. Other features that are available for the iOS are Office Lens technology in Outlook for Android, Quick reply, Block external content.

Office Lens technology in Outlook for Android integrates the apps and services you need to be productive, so you can quickly and easily share what you need, when you need it, with fewer taps and apps, it will be available May 2018.

The Quick reply feature makes it easier to respond quickly and more meaningfully in Outlook. By keeping your message content in view and a new reply box at the bottom of your screen, it will be available for Android this May 2018.

The Block external content feature helps to protect you and your inbox and block external, and possibly harmful, content. It will be available to Outlook for Android this May 2018.

Features that will be available for both the Android and the iOS in June 2018 are,  the Favorite people feature which gives users the ability to identify groups and email folders in Outlook, and soon we will add the ability to tag your favorite people.

The Single Office 365 account in Outlook feature which makes users able to enforce corporate policies on their managed mobile devices to allow a single account in Outlook.

Outlook mobile users must make sure to update to the newest version to acquire the benefits that this brings.
