Leading network solutions provider selects Antenna’s AMPchroma as preferred mobility platform for enterprise mobile solution offering
March 7 th 2013 Enterprise mobility specialists, Antenna Software, and Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, have announced a partnership wherein Huawei will resell Antenna’s award-winning platform, AMPchroma, as part of the Huawei BYOD Mobility Solution. The companies will showcase the new partnership and solution this week at CeBIT 2013, the number one event for the digital world, in Hannover, Germany.
The joint solution pairs Antenna’s long-standing expertise in enterprise mobility and Huawei’s strong knowledge and presence in the mobile industry to provide enterprise customers a secure, unified platform for mobile applications across their IT network.
The solution addresses a key IT challenge many enterprises continue to struggle with: – the consumerisation of IT means employees are bringing their own devices to work (BYOD) and using those devices in both their work and personal lives.
And according to a June 2012 report from McKinsey & Company, around 77 per cent of CIOs today state that they will allow some form of consumerisation in the coming years.1
To address this trend, Antenna and Huawei believe a holistic enterprise mobility strategy and solution is required.
Leveraging both companies’ strengths, enterprise customers can purchase one, singular solution that addresses the myriad challenges BYOD presents.
Leveraging its leading technical expertise and wide array of products focused on cloud computing, network, security, and application collaboration, Huawei provides the Huawei BYOD Mobility Solution.
Announced now is the addition of Antenna’s AMPchroma platform to the Huawei BYOD Mobility Solution, which provides a new Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) component to the solution.
Now, Huawei’s enterprise customers can utilize a best-in-class platform to build, run, and manage mobile applications and content.
“Antenna and Huawei originally joined forces in 2009 to deliver portal solutions to mobile operators, and with today’s announcement, we’re excited to build on that success with Huawei’s Enterprise division,” said Jim Hemmer, president and CEO of Antenna Software.
“We recognize the value Huawei brings to the table as a partner, and we believe strongly that with AMPchroma as the underpinning mobile platform, the company’s BYOD mobile office program will provide a true enterprise mobile office system, enabling its enterprise customers with a secure, unified platform for mobile applications across the IT network.”
“We view this as a great opportunity to continue building market share and awareness for AMPchroma, while enabling Huawei to continue building its enterprise customer base,” he added.
Antenna’s mobile application development platform, AMPchroma, helps enterprises free themselves of the constraints of time and space by linking office applications to a mobile device that can be used anytime, anywhere.
The platform allows companies to realize the potential that applications hold for their business and reduces the cost of that investment by rapidly enabling a mobile application to be used across a variety devices and operating systems.
AMPchroma will provide the platform to mobilise Huawei BYOD solutions, and Antenna will assist Huawei with development services to build mobile applications on this platform.
