Ishwar asks …

Asif ShaikSir,
Please suggest which brand I should prefer Nokia, Samsung, Micromax, or Xolo? My friends and relatives says that I should buy a branded mobile phone like Samsung and Nokia but I don’t like the shapes of Samsung brands. With Xolo I like the A600 which is good in viewing and my budget is also under INR 10,000. Please suggest to me what I should do.

Asif Shaik replies …

Definitely, Nokia provides the best device and software quality among other brands that you’ve mentioned.

I think the Nokia Lumia 525 is the best smartphone under INR 10,000.

Also, if you can increase your budget a bit, the Motorola Moto G would be a great buy.

I suggest you to wait until May 13th [2014] as Motorola is going to announce the Moto E. It will be priced under INR 10,000 as well.

Sayan asks …

I want to know which phone is good Gioone or Xolo? I am totally confused. I saw that Gioone is a Chinese company so can I trust it? Please help me out.

A Bhartesh asks  …

Sir, I want to buy Xolo mobile around INR 10,000. Which one is best mobile? And can I trust the Xolo brand? Please tell me.

Asif Shaik replies …

Xolo is one of the better Indian smartphone brands. I have personally used the Xolo Q900 which comes at a price just under INR 10,000 (see MySmartPrice).

Another great device under INR 10,000 is the Nokia Lumia 525 which has a very good camera, good screen and long battery life.

The choice is with you, whether you want to go with Android or Windows Phone operating system.

D Ghosh asks …

I will be pleased if you could advise me which is the best 3G Dual SIM smart phone under Rs8,000 of any brand you do like including Chinese brands like Huawei, and Gionee?

Asif Shaik replies …

I think the best dual SIM smartphone under INR 8,000 is the Xolo Q1000 Opus (see MySmartPrice) and even the Gionee Pioneer P4 looks like a good device but I haven’t used it though, so I am not sure.

You can also have a look at Nokia X Dual SIM which brings Android with dual SIM card slots and a 4 inch screen with colourful options.

Dinanker asks …

My budget is INR 5,000. So which phone should I buy amongst these three: – Karbonn A 91; Xolo A500s; or Micromax Canvas Fun A 63?

Asif Shaik replies …

Xolo A500S is the best option of the three. Although it lacks autofocus lens. Other than that, it is a solidly built device with smooth UI and gaming performance.

Gaurav Asks ..

I want to know is Xolo Q3000 worth spending INR 18,000 or should I go with the Note 2 by spending INR 27,000? Specs wise Xolo looks good but is Xolo is trusted?

Asif Shaik replies …

If you can spend INR 27,000, some of the better options are

  1. Samsung Galaxy S4 – Great all-round performance
  2. LG Nexus 5 – Best Nexus device so far. Excellent screen and good camera. Latest OS updates, directly from Google.
  3. Gionee Elife E7 – Powerful, excellent cameras (both front and rear), great battery life, tough build quality and extreme value for money.
  4. Motorola Moto X – The best user experience under INR 25K. Great screen, extremely smooth UI, latest OS, no bloatware, intelligent notifications system, always on voice recognition, colour options and good battery life.

You can choose any one of above options according to your budget, and you won’t go wrong with any of these.

Sunil Sindhal Asks …

I want to buy Xolo Q1010i. Is it a good to buy or should I choose a another one?

Asif Shaik replies …

Choose the Motorola Moto G instead of Xolo Q1010i. Moto G is one of the most perfect smartphones I have ever seen under INR 15K.
