Google 2D barcodes for Place Pages proves mobile barcodes are the glue for the mobile search marketplace

So many amazing deals have been nurtured in the mobile barcode space over the past three years. It’s a pity that Google has to enter the space to get noteworthy media attention. Even though I would like to discuss how stories are vetted by the media for significance, at this point I am merely highlighting that Google is only one tiny player in a mobile barcode space that has intensive potential.

GoMo News quick update - ouch

Thank-you to everyone that sent me flowers and to the GS1 for timing it so well that I enjoyed them from my hospital bed. Also Deutsche Telekom ICSS, Smaato, PR companies, mobile barcode companies and everyone for the well wishes.

I just had a Auxillary Lymph Node dissection and a lumpectomy and my status if anyone is interested is T2, N1, MO, G3 with some rare type of metaplastic cancer.

So basically OUCH. I can’t type and my arm will need about 6 weeks to recover so it might be a great time to contact Niamh about writing copy or sending in Christmas mobile articles.

Deutsche Telekom to take over Strato

Deutsche Telekom will take over the webhosting provider Strato from the telecommunications company Freenet.
