April 3rd 2014 – Fiksu, developer of award-winning app marketing technologies, has shared its success with SimplePrints, an app that provides a fast and easy way to turn your photos into a printed photo book. By using Fiksu’s programmatic technology and Facebook’s mobile app install ads, SimplePrints saw significant growth, acquiring large volumes of high quality users during the busy holiday periods.

Working with Fiksu, SimplePrints saw significant results:-

  • Its overall business grew 70 per cent in the first five months
  • Download volume nearly doubled, yet CPI was reduced by 20 per cent
  • Doubled volume of high quality users during critical holiday period, while maintaining costs within target ranges

Looking to cost-effectively grow its user base, SimplePrints had tested several ad networks in the space, and found Facebook – with its rich audience segmentation capabilities – to be its most productive marketing channel.

However, maintaining its momentum became a challenge.

But, by working with Fiksu – a Facebook Ads API partner – SimplePrints not only regained traction but also stayed within its cost targets.

To do this, Fiksu used its specialised marketing tools to create a set of targeted campaigns that took advantage of Facebook’s demographic segmentation, and as a result generated large volumes of new users, while significantly reducing the overall cost per install (CPI).

“Online advertising campaigns require maintenance and optimization in order to scale and be successful, but it takes time. We looked for partners who could help us automate this process,” said Alex Oliveira, head of product development, SimplePrints.

“With Fiksu, we’re now able to scale as needed and improve Facebook results faster and more effectively, all while keeping our ad costs consistent. Our confidence in Fiksu allows us to reallocate time spent on marketing to focus more on building our business.”

Because SimplePrints’ sales are impacted through seasonal purchases, maximizing app users during certain times of the year – such as Valentine’s Day and year-end holidays – is critical to the app’s success.

Fiksu helped ensure seasonal goals were met, seeing conversions more than double around the December holiday and volume of purchasers doubling in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day.

“Optimising Facebook campaigns continues to prove the most lucrative and cost-effective method for acquiring mobile app users,” said Craig Palli, chief strategy officer, Fiksu.

“It’s no surprise we are seeing more and more clients like SimplePrints come to us for technology resources and guidance to make the most of this powerful app marketing medium”

He continued, “With our strategic partnership with Facebook, and our team of world class marketers and engineers, we’re committed to providing the best technology capabilities and resources available.”
