iBeacons technology free for retailers

Get iBeacon solutions installed by September in time for Xmas

Press release

value lies in meaningful contact - geddes

July17th 2014. Certain specific retailers will now able to install iBeacon technology for free, thanks to a new offer from Appflare, a global leader in iBeacon technology, security and deployment. iBeacon technology is set to revolutionise retail. Beacons can engage users more accurately than any other technology has allowed before, giving customers information that will benefit them in an exact moment.

Customers receive a push notification via their app at the right place, at the right time, with relevant information that will enhance their shopping experience.

Appflare is making its full beacon hardware, install and maintenance solution free to retailers that carry FMCG [Fast Moving Consumer Goods], alcohol or publishing brands.

Qualifying retailers will have the service free of charge for three years.

It will also come with a sophisticated campaign platform, as well as an app for retailers who don’t yet have a live app in market.

Owen Geddes, founder and CEO of Appflare commented, “The reason why we are offering iBeacon technology to retailers for free is because we don’t think the value lies in the hardware, but in the meaningful contact with a customer.”

He added, “Retailers want to get their iBeacon solutions installed by September in time for the Xmas lock-down.”

“Offering the service for free eases the installation process, which is great news for brands that are currently preparing their festive campaigns.”
