May is month to get your adult web domain

We didn’t even know there was an adult search engine

It’s been brought to GoMo News‘ attention by ICM Registry, the registry operator for the .XXX top-level domain (TLD) for online adult entertainment, that new .XXX domain registrations created during May 2013 will be available at discount prices. So, if you were intending to launch an adult mobile web site, now is obviously the time. ICM kindly alerted us to the fact that there is even an adult search engine which we’ve never encountered before. XXX.xxx and Search.xxx point to it.

Stuart Lawley, CEO of ICM Registry, commented, ”With both Search.xxx and XXX.XXX showcasing and driving traffic to developed .XXX sites, together with the recent launch of the Search.xxx ad platform, there is a growing awareness of the value of the .XXX domain.”

A search.xxx ad platform just launched? Funnily enough we missed that one, too.

“Our goal is to serve the adult industry by continually creating new initiatives and platforms that increase the inherent value of each .XXX website,” Lawley added.

Each .XXX website is malware scanned to protect both website operators and consumers.

Every .XXX site also comes with a MetaCert electronic Family Safety label making it easier for users, organisations and parents to adjust their browser settings to restrict access to websites that are clearly labeled as potentially adult oriented content.

That said, we pointed a mobile browser at XXX.xxx on the mobile web; certified that we were 18 and got straight in.

That was on EE. In GoMo News‘ experience some MNOs – like Vodafone – block such sites by default.

That’s because gambling sites just as much as porn sites are classed by UK MNOs as ‘adult’ sites.

In case you were curious there are another three additional adult entertainment-related TLDs — .SEX, .PORN and .ADULT.

Customers looking to take advantage of this limited promotional offer should go here.
