Mobile marketer Adeye launches its mobile ad network BUZZ

Adeye Mobile today announced the launch of its mobile advertising network, Adeye BUZZ. This launch adds to its already existing set of mobile marketing services, including proximity marketing, mobile site design and competitions/surveys

Adeye claims that BUZZ can provide pretty much everything that is currently a buzzword for targeting. Geo-targeting, targeting by operator or handest (including iPhone), real-time analytics and campaign management - these are all touted in the release.

Adeye kicked off in 2007 as a bluetooth marketing company, but has been expanding it’s capabilities and client base since. It has now run campaigns for JCDecaux, Clear Channel, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Pepsi and KFC.

From the release:

“We are extremely excited to announce the launch of Adeye BUZZ today.  The network is a great addition to our existing mobile marketing platform, and allows Adeye to provide our clients with a complete one-stop solution that nurtures their brand in the mobile marketing ecosystem,” said Tommy Jensen, CEO of Adeye.

What we think?

When I was looking into Adeye, I found a little video case study they had done for a Sony Ericsson bluetooth campaign. Check it out here - what I find interesting about that campaign is that it touches on the major points that breezTech had put forth as the “right way” to do proximity marketing. 1) Clear signage 2) A “dwell” space and 3) decent content (can’t vouch for that, but two out of three ain’t bad). The fact that Adeye obviously put some effort into running an effective and well-thought proximity campaign, combined with their pretty impressive client list, makes me think this is a crowd to watch.
