Prime candidate for 2015′s roaming efficiently @ MWC

Both device manufacturers and European mobile network operators MNOs will be able to be instantly compliant with EU roaming regulations when they come into effect in July [2014]. When embedded, a new smartphone app from mobile connectivity firm, Tweakker will automaticaly be able to provide compliance. The Danish firm will be unveiling a smartphone app at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barclena next week [February 2014].

Under the coming new rules, all EU travellers roamer In Europe will be able to purchase roaming data offers from local MNOs.

This works when visiting any country in the EU whilst using the actual SIM card from their home network provider – not a replacement one.

As the moment, each time a traveler purchases a prepaid roaming data service from a local network operator, the roaming subscriber needs to manually change his/her smartphone’s network settings.

Subscribers need to change the universal EU APN of the visited network operator.

Worst still, when they back home, they have to re-set the APN settings all over again.

Tweakker claims its new app resolves all these problems when embedded in a regular handset.

Those visiting the MWC in Barcelona next week (February 24th – 27th 2014) will be able to chat to Twaeker about the app at the Danish pavillion in Hall 6, Booth 6C50.
