Pontiflex aims to muscle in on mobile advertising

Rating: Enlist an endorsement from Brisk Mobile

After a year of testing with leading mobile developers, ad specialist, Pontiflex, reckons to have a “unique, fully transparent, opt-in advertising model for the mobile medium.” The biggest selling point will be the claim that, “Developers can monetise their apps in just minutes versus days or weeks experienced using other solutions.” Such developers should benefit from Pontiflex’s existing inventory of ads from ‘Fortune 500′ brands. To validate its ‘ AppLeads’ offering, Pontiflex has enlisted the help of Brisk Mobile which has used the Pontiflex platform to incorporate ads in its latest game, Medieval Lite (available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry handsets). On paper this looks good stuff.

Despite taking a pop at CPM (cost per impression) pricing models, Pontiflex appears o have helped Brisk in that area as well.

“In fact, Pontiflex AppLeads has enabled us to earn CPMs in excess of $21 — twenty times higher than industry averages,” claimed Gary Toste, CEO with Brisk Mobile.

All this, “While building a relevant database of app users for up-sell and cross-sell possibilities.”

Pontiflex can serve ads at launch or during a non-disruptive pause in a mobile game – such as when the user opens the app for the first time or installs an update.

Additionally, sign-up ads can also be served when the user has begun gameplay (ie between levels or at any point of transition).

If users prefer to bypass the ad sign-up process, they simply hit the ‘Skip’ button.

“With Pontiflex AppLeads, we don’t have to choose between game play and revenue. Instead, we can monetise multiple offers from leading brands and increase revenue exponentially,” Gary Toste added.

According to Pontiflex, app developers can run registration ads, banner ads and full-screen ads to make every download count.

All this, while simultaneously building a marketing database of consumer email addresses for ongoing engagement to up-sell and cross-sell apps.

“Pontiflex AppLeads makes mobile advertising a possibility for any app developer,” says Zephrin Lasker, CEO withPontiflex.

“You don’t have to have a million dollars to participate or wait several weeks to get up and running, just a few lines of code and you’re ready to go.”

Sounds too good to be true, really, doesn’t it?
