“Twitter phone” from INQ gets Asian launch with SingTel

Singapore operator SingTel announced today that it’s customers will be the first in Asia to get the new device from INQ. The Mini 3G, usually just called the “Twitter phone”, will be hitting shelves in Singapore before the end of the month, exclusive to SingTel.

SingTel taps Comverse to provide targeted ads based on user info

SingTel has selected Comverse HUB Mobile Advertising for it’s new ad service. Comverse will analyse subscriber info and location, and deliver ads through multiple media and channels.
It’s an opt-in service, with users volunteering profile information. Subscribers to the service get free services, discounts and other benefits.

SingTel offers free mobile TV episodes to users

Singapore Telecommunications has launched shortform digital series Sorority Forever for free for its iPhone and 3G mobile customers.
The episodes of the Warner Brothers’ show are between 2-3 minutes long, and the entire series is now available on-portal for SingTel customers. There are no data charges or any additional fees for watching it.
