In a competitive pitch involving over 20 mobile application vendors, Mobile IQ was chosen to create the first official sports/events iPhone apps for the BBC. This will be particularly good news for Formula One loving iPhone owners.

NFL uses mobile video for sport stars peep show

In collaboration with mobile video marketer Mogreet, it will be letting fans use their mobiles to see what their favourite sports stars get up to during their day-to-day lives.

The network also revealed its plans to use the Foootball World Cup 2010 as a platform to massively boost mobile advertising (and its own interests) in the region.
