This is why I love CTIA. Before the convention, I had never heard of Newbay. But this quiet company has a hefty global presence in mobile operator software, and hosts over 10 million social networkers! Chief Marketing Officer Dr. Arun (he kindly simplified his name for me, I never would have gotten it righ) explained what the company does in simple terms, and discussed how Newbay feels operators will never become “dumb pipes”, but will power the social mobile environment.
