Yell.com first advertiser on 3 UK Mobile Broadband Dashboard

mobilebroadband

3 UK recently opened up its mobile broadband dashboard for mobile advertising opportunities. Basically the adverts will be shown on the sign-up home screen of the mobile broadband service.

The dashboard already boasts 1 million users with up to 30 million impressions per month. 3 put out a press release in July seeking partners for this “unique inventory opportunity”.

Yell.com is the first brand to take opportunity of this offer and signed up for a campaign today. At present there is no press release on this, we heard about it via our secret network of connected mobile insiders!

Advertising on the mobile broadband home page seems to be the black of advertising for mobile brands. Vodafone already offers this but 3 is following the example of early mover 3 Austria. 3 Austria has had amazing success pushing advertising via this broadband dashboard. In fact, it has been running campaigns with VW, Suzuki, Kia, Peugeot, Mazda, Honda and Land Rover. On top of that it has seen a click through rate of an impressive six percent.

Some advertising will brighten up the current mobile broadband dashboard and as I use the service will get some screenshots when it goes live.
